Each year the W3 Awards, judged by the esteemed International Academy of the Visual Arts, honors outstanding creative work on the web in a number of different categories for marketing programs, websites and videos. This year, LAUNCH is proud to announce that we’ve taken home two awards for excellence on the web for our work with Sara Lee!
Winning the coveted “Best in Show” award in the Interactive Video category is our promotional video for State Fair Brand®, “Mom vs. Mom: Battle Cart Corn Dog.” A first of its kind for State Fair Brand and Sara Lee®, the choose-your-own-adventure style video directly engaged consumers with the content, giving them the opportunity to control the fates of two mother-child pairings as they go head-to-head in a supermarket race to the finish for the last box of State Fair Brand Corn Dogs. At critical points in the story, the video finishes, prompting users to choose the next action, all in the hopes of ultimately leading to a happy ending—and a State Fair Brand coupon download! Viewers are encouraged to share the video (hosted on a branded YouTube channel) via various social media outlets, and the promotion successfully increased traffic to the State Fair Brand website and widely broadened the brand’s social media presence.
Garnering a Silver Award in the Banner Campaign for Food & Beverage category is LAUNCH’s work on the Ball Park® Angus Beef Franks rich media web banners. The online ads, which showcased Angus Beef Franks and promoted a money-saving offer, clicked through to a coupon for the product on the Ball Park website. Intended to drive trial and awareness, the ads are shown to have contributed to a 15–18% increase in awareness of the Angus brand.
We’re very proud of our work, and excited to end the year on such a high note. We look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence and applying what we’ve learned to our work in the New Year.
