Launch Reaches Out To A New Target – Pets

As part of our company-wide effort to get more involved in the lives of animals – an area that many Flight Crew members care deeply about – Launch recently made time to attend the Global Pet Expo in Orlando and expand its partnership with Red Door Animal Shelter in Chicago.

At the Global Pet Expo, the largest annual trade show for the pet industry, Heather Magnussen and Amanda Keating checked out the latest products and the newest brands in the industry. After a few distractions – most of them colorful and squeaky – they also participated in the Pet Connections event, where the two met with a number of companies to see if Launch could assist them in their marketing efforts.

According to Heather, “What I found so amazing about this event was that the passion that so many of the people we met with have is as important in their own lives as it is in their careers.  The drive and success that these companies have stems from their own experiences with animals and from bettering all of our pets’ lives.  It is nice to see drive and success in corporate America that stems from genuine compassion for animals.”

While attending the GPE, Launch also got the word out to pet industry companies about the Red Door Animal Shelter (http://www.RedDoorShelter.org). Founded in 1998, Red Door is a no-kill shelter committed to helping animals in need. Its primary focus is on the rescue, shelter and adoption of cats, dogs and rabbits—the three most popular pets in the United States.

We are proud to say that this promoting was a success and Launch made a donation to the shelter in the name of each company we met with at Pet Connections. To develop our relationship with the shelter even further, and to help support its compassionate efforts, all Launch employees will also be encouraged to donate their time to the shelter.

We hope these efforts will help Launch make a significant impact in the pet world. This will allow us to do what we do best, while also helping the causes that we care the most about. Just don’t be too surprised if we take a little time to pet the little guys behind the ears while we work.
